Brown Sugar

We're what you'd call "white." Our Mexican ex-boyfriend has confirmed this many times, despite our challenges to the contrary. "But look right here," we'd say, "this spot is kind of brown!" He would just laugh and direct his gaze in a more southwesterly direction.

Now we can really compare and contrast since the party crew at LatinosNOW took over Sonoma Casual Dining for Suavecito Fridays. We recently checked the place out, taking a spin around the huge room with a friendly bar manager, who informed us that it's live music with La Familia as well as cumbia, Tejano, and R&B spins by DJ Stixx in the Mixx. Hey, even we honkies can appreciate $3 Patrón shots and food served until midnight; after all, our money is green and our blood is red.
