Canine Network

Rather than leave your canine confined to the couch all summer long, give him some fresh air some new furry faces at Glendale's Fifth Annual Dog Days of Summer. At this community event, pets and their owners can meet and greet with other four-legged locals including Topaz, a crisis response dog for the Glendale Fire Department.

To help keep your dog's temperature down and tail wagging, Dog Days of Summer will offer free Frosty Paw frozen dog treats, watering stations, pool stops, pet massages, pet merchandise, raffles and prizes, plus mobile vaccination and microchips from Dr. Kit’s Mobile Vet. The Dog Days of Summer runs from 7 to 10 a.m. on Sunday, August 3, at Murphy Park, 7010 North 58th Avenue, Glendale. Admission is free, however the Glendale Visitor Center will be collecting pet supplies to benefit the Sun Valley Animal Shelter. Visit or call 623-930-4500.
