Kevin Kolb or John Skelton? The ongoing battle between the two for the Arizona Cardinals quarterback position has been the debate du jour throughout a majority of this woeful season, which is shaping up to be one of the worst in the team’s history. Red Bird fans have chosen sides and vehemently supported their favorite QB in online forums, sports bars, and on talk radio airwaves, with the arguments becoming as heated as Team Edward Twi-hards duking it out with members of Team Jacob.
Each quarterback has his relative strengths and weaknesses. Skelton’s made clutch plays and won more games this season, albeit against some of the weaker teams in the NFL. Meanwhile, Kolb’s racked up more yards and pass completions, but is more injury-prone and has missed a big chunk of this season due to turf toe.
Regardless, whichever player gets the honor of leading the Cardinals in their battle against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, December 4, at University of Phoenix Stadium, better be at the top of their game, as the Texas team is currently leading the NFC East and is a formidable foe to say the least.
