A few weeks ago at the Arizona State Fair, we witnessed our first demolition derby. Our reaction? Uhhhh . . . what in the . . . ?
Needless to say, it was interesting in its redneck-friendliness, especially when folks went ape shit over the especially brutal-looking wallops of fast-moving metal. But for some reason, we didnt hate it, and now we want moremoremore. Well get exactly that during the Fall Demolition Derby at Helzapoppin' Rodeo Arena. Local artist/musician/derby competitor Corey Busboom who participated in his first-ever derby during the aforementioned night at the State Fair says the Helzapoppin arena will be especially fast because the grounds crew doesnt wet down the dirt like they do at the Fairgrounds.
Following the smash-em-up spectacular, Buckeyes finest will parade around on mobility scooters, lawn mowers, and cotton pickers. Uhhhh . . . what in the . . . ?
