Crave Review

The second of Buddha’s Four Noble Truths basically states that suffering is caused by our desire and is ultimately a disharmonious distraction from achieving peace of mind. We pledge to keep an open mind about the nature of our cravings when we catch Logan Bellew’s solo exhibition “What We Have Is No Longer Natural.”

Bellew, who’s pursuing a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography and Art History at Arizona State University, seeks to explore what we have and what we want in his photography of everyday objects. Mounting the photos with fluorescent backlights casts an uneasy halo on the things in our life that too often play the background, which is a perfect focusing agent to truly evaluate the whats and whys of desire.

Tue., Nov. 23, 6-8 p.m.; Mondays-Fridays. Starts: Nov. 23. Continues through Dec. 3, 2010
