Don't Call It a Comeback

Much like your coworker who’s single and hates his family, the Phoenix Coyotes did not enjoy the holiday season. A slump that seemed to carry through the entire month of December knocked the Coyotes way down in the standings. For the first time in Dave Tippett’s tenure as the Coyotes’ head coach, the team is in serious danger of missing the playoffs entirely.

The Coyotes will be looking to turn their season around when they host the Detroit Red Wings at Glendale’s Jobing.com Arena on Thursday, January 19. A win against the Red Wings -- who have been a consistent thorn in the Coyotes’ side under Tippett --would be a perfect cure for the 'Yotes' hangover.
