Gabrielle Giffords and Captain Mark Kelly know what it means to fight. The former Arizona congresswoman’s road to recovery has been in the public spotlight since her attempted assassination on January 8, 2011. Now her husband is speaking out about their experience and the determination it takes to overcome such adversity.
The former combat pilot turned four-time space shuttle astronaut and commander of the final flight of Space Shuttle Endeavour will deliver a powerful speech on achieving success through a commitment to both the mission and family. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Brain Injury Alliance of Arizona. Captain Mark Kelly presents his talk, “Endeavor to Succeed,” Friday, November 22, at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 East Second Street in Scottsdale.
