Female Trouble

There’s nothing glamorous about the way the women of the Arizona Assassins play football. They’re just as tough on the gridiron as their male counterparts, if not more so.

True to their namesake, the Assassins have been brutally efficient at capitalizing on their opponents' mistakes in furious fashion, and it’s resulted in some big wins this season. Led by quarterback Angela D’Rossi, the team’s efficiency has carried them to one of the best current records in the Women’s Football Alliance.

There’s no telling if the Assassins can make a solid playoff run, but a victory during their regular-season finale against the Pacific Warriors on Saturday, June 18, might give the Assassins good seeding and momentum, while a loss could derail an otherwise promising season.
