Time to grab a few (empty) cans, scissors, and a pair of gloves -- Tempe's Four Peaks Brewing Company is hosting a Beer Can Masterpiece contest this month and they're looking for entries.

Prizes for "Best Overall," "Best Four Peaks Theme", and "Most Creative" creations include kegs, gift cards, and T-shirts.

But let's be honest, we're all interested in the beer.

The rules are simple: only use Four Peaks Kilt Lifter and Sunbru cans (though no limit to number), no derogatory or ethically questionable creations will be accepted, and no bribing the judges.

Entries are due to Four Peaks on Friday, May 20 at 6 p.m.. with contact info.
Judging and prizes will be given away that night.

The brewery will be giving out "starter kits" with empty cans this Sunday, May 15 between 3 and 5 p.m.. (Note: the kits aren't mandatory. If you're going to miss the pick-up, you can arrange another time by emailing [email protected] by May 15, or collect your own cans by actually drinking a couple.) More contest info here.

Oh, and you better believe Jackalope Ranch is tossing its own can into the race.

Game on.
