Frankly, My Dear

The work of Lisa Frank has had a special place in the backpacks and hearts of schoolgirls over the past few decades. Frank’s neon rainbows, pandas, and puppies brightened up Trapper Keepers, stickers, and pencils, while inspiring utterances of “cute!”

That same artwork inspires Lisa Frank Poetry Collective, composed of Bridie “The Unicorn Impaler” Maloney, Meghan “The Never Ending Story” Kelsey, and Natasha “Never-Neverland” Murdock. The feminist lit trio will unleash their work (not for the faint of heart) during Lisa Frank's *Magical*NEON!Unicorn{dildo}POETRYSHOW at Lawn Gnome.

The Tucson-based commercial artist’s imagery shows that a strong female presence can be ultra-feminine. Pink sparkly unicorns, they contend, can be perfectly aligned with feminism.
