Get Bent

A recent study from Spain’s Granada University revealed that after an intense workout downing a few beers results in better rehydration than chugging water. While the findings will inspire plenty of yoked bros to embark on beefed-up benders, it also makes more enticing Beer and Bender, the going away party for Peace in the City owner and yoga instructor Wendy Reese, who's heading to Vermont.

Reese will lead a yoga class at 6 p.m., followed by a beer tasting and pint, for toasting and, ya know, scientific purposes on Tuesday, September 4, at Phoenix Ale Brewery. Admission is $25. Proceeds benefit Beer for Brains Foundation.
