Support the independent voice of Phoenix and help keep the future of New Times free.

Independence Day, but if you're sharp, you'll also be stocking up on local goods to get you through the fourth round of sparklers.

In celebration of our independence, a bunch of our favorite Local First AZ independent stores and boutiques are having week-long deals. We're talking  20 percent off at more than 188 local businesses. And we'll bet you can score a deal on something cooler than a bottle rocket.

Local First Arizona's coupon is valid today through July 4. To be redeemed, the coupon needs to be printed and presented at any of the businesses listed on the Independents Week page.

Just a few of our favorites:

Pink House Boutique in Glendale
- The Royale film house in Mesa
- Strawberry Hedgehog bath and body
- Wet Paint Artist Supply in Tempe
- Blueberry Deluxe boutique in Phoenix
- Bunky Boutique in Phoenix
- Butter Toast vintage in Phoenix
- Made Art Boutique in Phoenix
Kooky Krafts shop in Phoenix
- Maker Bench in Tempe

The coupon can be downloaded and printed as many times as you want, just remember to bring one to each of your local shopping spree locations.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
