"These are the people in your neighborhood/The people that you meet when you're walking down the street/They're the people that you meet each daaaay!"
(Pardon us.)
So goes the catchy Sesame Street ditty, a happy tune that could've easily been written for Conspire, the collectively owned and operated spot that will celebrate a year of existence on Saturday, November 15, during the Conspire One-Year Anniversary Block Party.
Equal parts boutique, coffeehouse, community library, and gathering place, Conspire located in the heart of the Roosevelt Row hood at 901 North Fifth Street houses an overwhelming array of handmade goods, jewelry, clothes, art, and local music. This all-inclusive approach is echoed in the collective's festive throwdown, which will feature a fashion show, live music and performances, DJs, an art market, silkscreen and stencil workshops, and plenty of kids activities to keep the hive buzzing.
