Today has been dubbed World Whisky Day, and while there are no official events registered in Phoenix, whisky lovers around the world are encouraged to celebrate by grabbing their best tumbler, knocking a few back, and sending a picture or two to the holiday's official website.

And if you find yourself hungover tomorrow, you can thank Blair Bowman, the young whisky enthusiast responsible for the inaugural event.

To participate in the photo contest, and for a chance to win a bottle of 30 year Whyte and McKay Whisky, you can upload your photo directly to the website, take a photo with Instagram, Twitpic, yFrog, or a similar app, and tag it with "#worldwhiskydayphoto". Or, upload your photo to their Facebook page and call it "world whisky day photo."

Entries must be submitted by March 31, 2012.

The five photos with the most 'likes' will be judged by Whyte & Mackay's Master Blender Richard Paterson, who will decide which photo is "THE BEST WORLD WHISKY DAY PHOTO 2012."
