Show us your ink! MARKED is our new series where we ask locals of all ages, professions and backgrounds to roll up their sleeves, pant legs, and so much more to reveal their marks. Here are their stories:
: Hollie Hanson
: Currently 23. I had my tattoos done when I was 19 and 22 years old.
My Leg Pieces: I got the storm trooper stockings in April. These are my favorite because they are the biggest ones I have and I love storm troopers. I really like the stocking idea and bows but wanted something in the center of the bows. I've seen a bunch of stocking tattoos with skulls and hearts, but that's just "not me" so after debating I went with storm troopers.
I collect a lot of storm trooper knick-knacks, though I'm not that big into Star Wars. I got these when I was 22. I didn't own a single pair of shorts before these tattoos, I now have a bunch, and I'm also not so pasty looking.

My Wrist Piece: is my ///M series tattoo.
I think BMW M Series are the best quality cars out there. I get a lot of people asking me If I have one when they recognize the tattoo. No, I don't but it's definitely a goal.
I do have a MINI Cooper that I bought a ///M badge for. The MINI dealership loves it, they think it's hilarious. I've been stopped at the stop light on a few different occasions from people asking, "MINI's have a ///M series?" or "You know you didn't actually buy a ///M Mini, right?" This tattoo is the most talked about. I love it.
Next Tattoo? I have many ideas. Being that I have seven now, I'm trying to learn to be picky, but my ideas are normally very spontaneous. I do have one specific one lined up to go up the side of my ribs in script lettering. It's a quote from Alexander Pope's poem "Eloisa to Abelard" that was featured in the movie 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'. I'm not just getting it because I love that movie but because I've made mistakes I'm not proud of and I know everyone wishes they could just forget about some things sometimes.
The quote is "How happy is the blameless vestal's lot! / The world forgetting, by the world forgot / Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! / Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd. "
