Hot Fuzz

A rose by any other name . . . you know the rest, Shakespeare dude/dudette.

Detroit garage rockers Tyvjk know the quote and its meaning perhaps too well. You see, the rockers started as Tyvek, only to be endlessly hassled by DuPont, which owns the registered trademark for the synthetic material of the same name. This set off a flurry of many and swift name changes for the band, but thankfully, there was no identity crisis, as Tyvjk’s distinctively thrashy but catchy fuzz rock remains intact. Grounded in the D's garage gene pool with just enough swing to catch the ear of influential music blog and hipster rag The Fader, these guys have the goods to land prime SXSW gigs.
