Inking Buddies

Stop and think for a second. When did you last use a home printer? If you can readily answer that, well, uh, good for you. But if you can’t, like us, chances are you can appreciate how much of a dying art printing is. Calaca Cultural Center and Willo North Gallery highlight this artistic medium along with the art of inks and tattoos in “Print & Ink: Expressing Through Images.” Join about 15 artists and get your print on from Friday, December 5, through Friday, December 26. The free opening reception during December’s First Friday goes from 6 to 9 p.m. at Willo North Gallery, 2811 North Seventh Avenue, with music, refreshments, and art, of course. For more information, call 602-448-9041 or visit www.willonorth.com or www.calaca.org.

Fri., Dec. 5, 6-9 p.m.; Fri., Dec. 19, 6-9 p.m., 2014
