"Taste of Art": Tempe Arts Center, located at Tempe Beach Park, First Street and Mill, hosts this series of introductory classes for children ages 7 to 11. In the latest session, titled "Lanterns o' Light" and scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 9, artist Tom Ferguson teaches kids how to make clay candleholders. The fee is $15, $12 for members.
