Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Walt Disney's World on Ice presents this special-effects-laden rendition of the Grimm fairy tale. Two-time Canadian figure-skating champ Karen Preston plays Snow White, and Russian blader Serguei Tartykov portrays the handsome prince. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and other Disney characters are scheduled to appear. "Magic Show": The latest installment in City of Tempe's monthly Saturday Performing Arts Series, which introduces children to the performing arts, starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at Edna Vihel Activity Building, 3340South Rural. "Bear With Us" and "SpARTS": The "Bear" exhibit features multimedia representations of bruins of all shapes, sizes and sorts. It continues through February 2 at Arizona Museum for Youth, 35 North Robson in Mesa. Two related activities are planned Saturday. "Bear Stage," from 10 a.m. to noon, features a story session by puppeteer Katie Cathcart; the fee is $8. In "Bear-icatures," artist Donna McCarthy teaches kids basic drawing techniques; it's scheduled for 1 to 3p.m., and also costs $8. "SpARTS" series of special workshops includes "Do Pennants!" flag-making workshop on Thursday and "Instant Replay" print-making session on Friday; participation is free with regular museum admission. "The Great Russian Dinosaurs": Mesa Southwest Museum, 53 North Macdonald, presents this major touring exhibition cosponsored by City of Mesa and Paleontological Institute of Moscow. It features 24 full skeletons, as well as remains of dino nests, eggs and hatchlings, 50 skulls and dozens of other specimens collected this century from sites in Russia and Mongolia. Out of Africa Cubs: Two baby white tigers have joined the feline family at Out of Africa Wildlife Park, located off Fort McDowell Road, two miles north of the intersection of Shea Boulevard and Beeline Highway. "Picture This: Focus on Endangered Species": Phoenix Zoo, 455 North Galvin Parkway, in Papago Park, hosts the latest installment in its festival "The Celebration of the Natural World," which continues through September. "Picture This" continues daily, through Wednesday. Participation is free with regular admission: $7, $6 for seniors, $3.50 for kids ages 4 to 12, free for younger children and zoo members. "Wild Winter Nights": Wildlife World Zoo has zoo lights, too. Like Phoenix Zoo's popular ZooLights (see the Events listing), the display features thousands of lights placed strategically around the grounds at the menagerie, 165th Avenue and Northern in Litchfield Park. Unlike Phoenix Zoo, Wildlife World Zoo allows some of its critters, including white tigers Sir Lunge-a-Lot and Mrs. Lunge-a-Lot, to stay up late and enjoy the show.
