Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Walt Disney's World on Ice presents this special-effects-laden rendition of the Grimm fairy tale. Two-time Canadian figure-skating champ Karen Preston plays Snow White, and Russian blader Serguei Tartykov portrays the handsome prince. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and other Disney characters are scheduled to appear. Final performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 4 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, noon and 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday at America West Arena, First Street and Jefferson. "Teddy Bear Spring Training": Illinois-based ABC Unlimited Productions presents this fifth annual teddy-bear show and sale, featuring makers and dealers from around thecountry and Canada. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4p.m. Saturday in Superstition Ballroom at Rendezvous Center, 263 North Center in Mesa. Admission is $5, $1 for kids under 12. For details call 644-2178.

"Probability and Patterns" and "Computer Works": In the former, one-child/one-adult teams pool their resources in an investigation of the science of odds. Sessions are slated for noon to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Arizona Science Center, 147 East Adams. The cost per team is $22, $15 for members; registration is required. The "Computer Works" exhibit, continuing indefinitely, explores the elements required to run a computer and how they relate to one another. Call 256-9518.

"Super Science Saturday": Scientists host hands-on activities and demonstrations about all sorts of neat stuff, including fossils, meteorites, insects and petroglyphs, during this event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Arizona State University Archaeological Research Institute, located in the former Tower Records location at Mill and University in Tempe. "Karate for Kids": The sixth annual martial-arts tourney, featuring about 450 competitors, isscheduled for 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Fiddlesticks Family Fun Park, 1155 West Elliot in Tempe. A performance by Arizona National Guard's 107th Air Control Squadron color guard precedes, and aworld-record attempt by 16-year-old, second-degree black belt Mark Koshewer follows; Koshewer will try to break 99 pine boards in30 seconds orless. Pat Murphy's "Spring Training" Baseball Camp: The head coach of the Arizona State University baseball squad hosts this clinic for kids ages 7to 12. It continues Saturday; more sessions are planned February 10 and 17. Call 965-6085.

Wee Folks Hike: City of Tempe hosts this guided walk through Papago Park, designed for kids ages 4 to 7 and scheduled for 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Participants should bring at least one quart of water and meet in front of Phoenix Zoo's main entrance; the zoo is not included in the tour. Cost is $4 per kid; parents may attend free of charge. "Celebrating 40 Years: Many Faces, One World": The exhibit features works by children from Scottsdale and its sister cities: Kingston, Ontario, Canada; Cairns, Queensland, Australia; and Alamos, Sonora, Mexico. It continues through February 25 in Young at Art Gallery at Scottsdale Center for the Arts, 7380 East Second Street. Call 994-2787.

Kids of Color Premiere Party: The nine African-American junior journalists responsible forproducing the new Chandler-based bimonthly magazine KOC are between the ages of 11 and 14. They'll be present at this event, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Black Bookcase, 1242 East Jefferson. The publication primarily focuses on issues of intergroup communication, education and entertainment. Call 495-1497.

"Taste of Art": Tempe Arts Center, located at Tempe Beach Park, First Street and Mill, hosts this series of introductory classes for children ages 7 to 11. Sessions are slated for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 9, March 30 and April 20. In this week's session, titled "Valentine Surprise!", artist Vicki Kinshella Weaver teaches kids how to make personalized greetings for their sweeties. The fee is $15, $12 for members.
