We have no idea what you'll see at Space 55's 7 Minutes Under the Mistletoe. But neither has Space 55. Somehow, though, the acts who've each arranged to perform for less time than it takes to bleach your teeth always step up their game to bring live art that is stranger, more interesting, and even occasionally more talent-infested than the typical open mic. And there's nothing so cathartic right now as mocking and violating the most holy and/or glitzy holiday traditions -- an insouciance that's high on the probability meter. (For reasons more important than that, the show is unsuitable for children.)
If you don't like one of the numbers, keep that dental-care metaphor in mind: It'll be over soon, to be replaced by something guaranteed to be entirely different. And not necessarily painful -- it might be like that water jet that tickles your gums almost beyond endurance.
