Absentmindedly leaving your wallet at home is common enough, but heading outdoors without pants? If you’re down with this year’s No Pants Light Rail Ride Sunday, January 13, that’s your story and you’re sticking to it.
The skivvy-centric mass transit tradition is in its fifth year, thanks to the efforts of Improv AZ, the valley mischief-makers inspired by New York City-based prankster collective Improv Everywhere. Last year, Phoenix was one of 59 cities worldwide that participated in pants-free public transportation. This year, celebrants will go from rail to ale with a post-prank gathering planned at Angels Trumpet Ale House.
