What are you wearing?
A red sun dress with some gold flats and a long gold chain. Plus cut-off jean shorts underneath [for] riding the bike.

What's your favorite outfit to wear?
Back when it was nice and cold out, it was a long sleeve black and white checkered button up shirt with long exaggerated collars, a cute black feminine bow tie that I made, black leggings, and red heels. I ended up buying tons of long sleeve tux/prince looking shirts to mix match with the combination. Still working on a theme for summer.

What's the last item of clothing you bought?
A new yellow polka dot vest.

Where do you usually shop?
I'm a bargain shopper, so am not stuck in an era. I like the new and the old equally. I shop mainly in boutiques, since I work at Dragonfly Boutique, I make it a point to shop local. Also, I like to find over-sized dresses and turn them into short, summer dresses!

What do you like to accessorize with?
Sunglasses, earrings, necklaces, shoes, vest, tights, the normal.

What item of clothing do you most covet at the moment?
Prints! Print dresses, print shorts, print shirts, print vest, print scarfs, pretty much anything that has a colorful pattern to it.

Where would you love to have a shopping spree?
I would want to own something from pretty much every boutique in Phoenix and not just the vintage boutiques.

Who are some of your style icons?
I'm one of the artistic directors of Dulce Dance Company, so costumes and art pieces pretty big for me, I love the bizarre and when it comes to making costumes and clothing out of art, I have to give it to Alexander McQueen. Yes, typical, but his talent is pretty amazing, no doubt. I daydream about wearing the most extravagant dress on stage. Just imagine it, a soloist dancer, full stage lights, make-up and one of his dresses moving about on stage.

Give us a childhood memory of you and clothes:
In the '70s, my mother moved here from Guadalajara, Mexico, and she kept a few of her favorite blouses. I remember my sister Carolina and I always going through her closet and wearing her clothes. A particular shirt that me and my sister fought over was a red velvet blouse with flowers painted on the side and a soft bow tie wrapped around the neck. Just thinking about it makes me want to wear it, the best part is that it still sits in her closet.

Name five items every woman should have in her closet:
1. Sun hats
2. Sunglasses
3. A nice fitting pair of jeans
4. A sexy "looks damn good" on you black dress
5. Some hot-colored high heels

Name an item of clothing that's best when it's vintage:
Jewelry. Long Necklaces, big rings, bracelets, classic earrings.

What is your one piece of fashion advice for Phoenix:
Don't get stuck on an era! don't get stuck in vintage, make some new finds, mix match, new with the old! I don't like looking at the poster board vintage chick and guy walking down Roosevelt. Have some fun! Make it your own. Dress up, dress down, whatever you choose. Own it.
