Love Actually

It's easy to pull for household names like Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova when it comes to women's tennis. But, there are plenty of up-and-comers worthy of some cheering on, too.

A few of those burgeoning swingers will serve up their best game at the Fourth Annual Goldwater Women’s Tennis Classic, which will mark the last chance to qualify for next year's Australian Open. Potential heavy-hitters Bethanie Mattek-Sands, who has been ranked as high as 10th in the world, Melanie Oudin, and Irina Falconi are among the 60-plus tourney competitors.

Get served at Phoenix Country Club, 2901 North Seventh Street, starting on Sunday, November 4, with opening ceremonies and the beginning of qualifier rounds. Play continues through the week, and the final match takes place on Sunday, November 11, at noon.
