Love Herps

Why on earth would you know what “herpetophobia” meant unless you were suffering from it? If you actually are a herpetophobe, you might want to avert your eyes right about now. For those who aren't deathly afraid of reptiles -no, not herpes- the 3rd annual Repticon Phoenix is returning to the State Fairgrounds’ Wesley Bolin building, 1826 West McDowell Road, on December 13 and 14. For two cold-blooded days, vendors, breeders and educators will be providing attendees with a full scale reptilian experience. Get it? Full scale. While some might find the convention’s motto “sharing reptiles with the world” a tad unsettling, ‘herpers’ would be remiss if they let Repticon Phoenix slip by. Experience Repticon from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 14. Ticket prices vary. Visit or call 803-814-5018 for details.

Sat., Dec. 13, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sun., Dec. 14, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 2014
