Marshall Shore's First Arizona Memory Project

One new idea for every day in 2011. We're talking big, small, local, international, in action, and on the drawing board. Here's today's -- what's yours?

Marshall Shore's a memory bank.

The local historian and story collector moved to the Valley a decade ago, and began listening and investigating local mysteries in an attempt to create community in a city with a reputation for a "lack of culture." (Note: Don't mention this "lack" to Shore unless you have an appetite for a few good stories.)

He describes his first Arizona memory above ...

Shore's latest effort is a visual one -- he's looking for your first Arizona memories. They can be written or recorded and submitted to his blog, Lost PHX.
