Creative types are bound to find inspiration in unsuspected places. Picasso looked to war and women, hile Van Gogh conveyed his troubled self through country landscapes and rooms with slightly off perspectives. Ballet Arizona’s Ib Andersen? Jos newest work, Topia, draws on the openness of the blossoming Sonoran desert. The company will debut the horticultural hop Wednesday on an 80-foot outdoor stage that will mimic the panoramic desert around it.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. at the Desert Botanical Garden, and the performance begins at 7:30. A full dinner and drinks menu will be available at additional charge.
