A drummer for a Southern-rock band -- let's go whole hog and say the Southern-rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd -- painting prissed-out carousel ponies? That and Michael Cartellone's highly suspect list of former running buddies (Eddie Jobson of Roxy Music, Tommy Shaw of Styx, Peter Frampton, Damn Yankees! Freddie Mercury!! Cher!!!) can get you into quite a heap o' trouble in Birmingham, Alabama, on a Saturday night, but Cartellone's still painting, and somehow still breathing without the aid of an iron lung. The inspiration for his latest series, "The Carousel," was the ride in Central Park. (The damn Yankee!) Meet the sensitive art lad during this reception at the recently relocated Rock Star Gallery. Reservations are suggested.
