No; Random House editor Michelle Frey is referring to Evolution, Me & Other Freaks of Nature, whose high school heroine is plunged into a science-versus-faith controversy. Arizona author Robin Brande knows whereof she writes, as this freak of multitasking nature is -- or at one time has been -- a Sunday-school teacher, Wilderness First Responder, trial attorney, karate black belt, and Broadway actress. No kidding.
