Since we live in a National League town on account of the Arizona Diamondbacks, we dont pay a lot of heed to those designated hitter-using American Leaguers. So when we checked out the current 40-man roster for the Oakland Athletics, we were like (to quote Major League), Who are these fucking guys? Some dude named Bobby Crosby topped the team in batting average at (get this) .264. Justin Duchscherer was the teams leader in pitching victories, holding a (say what?) 5-4 win-loss record. Huh? These cats must suck, right? Well, no. At press time, they were above .500 and one of the top teams in the AL West.
