Morning Buzz

Path: It's Like an Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and Pinterest Sandwich (Bite-Sized)

Welcome to the Morning Buzz, a catch-up on interesting happenings around the city and country and a quick guide to what (and who) to keep your eyes on. We'll be here, first thing every weekday, to get you going. Here's what's buzzing this morning:

Brace yourselves. It's another social media outlet.

And while we're not quite ready to revamp our flowchart (mostly in fear of a social media meltdown), we will tell you that this one has one thing going for it: Privacy.

Welcome to Path.

Created almost a year ago, Path caught the eyes of share-hungry app types and recovering Facebook and Instagram fiends alike in the last few weeks.

It has a limited "audience" -- you can only have 150 friends (imagine that) -- with whom you can share where you are, who you're with, what music you're listening to, when you wake up, when you fall asleep, and the typical slew of photos and videos you've created on the go.

And now we'll patiently await our notification that you've woken up. Don't forget to take that picture of your latte.
