The event will celebrate bike culture and community with a bicycle-themed poster show, featuring designs from 15 locals, a group ride, and valet bike parking at the Ro2 Lot, which is next to Monorchid and where music will be playing throughout the evening.

The poster show will combine the talents of local graphic designers and illustrators with bicycle appreciation to create 15 posters that will be sold for $30 each. Part of the proceeds will go to the non-profit organization Welcome to America, which provides helpful resources to refugees arriving in America. Those who purchase posters will also be entered into a raffle for a Pedal Craft-themed bicycle from State Bicycle Co. The participating artists include: Bob Case, Jon Arvizu, Chris Reed, Kelsey Dake, Mike Giles, Joshua Rhodes, Safwat Saleem, Sarah Thomas, Marc Burmich, Timothy Brennan, Travis Ladue, Adam Mann, Kendra Enriquez, Joseph "Sentrock" Perez, and a collaboration between Jon Ashcroft and Doug Penick, two of the founders of Pedal Craft.

Phoenix Spokes People teamed up with Valley Metro to provide the valet bike parking. The cycling organization also will lead a 9 p.m. group ride through downtown Phoenix, beginning and ending at Monorchid, with a few stops at points of interest, including the Pedal Craft mural on the west side of Eye Lounge.

Jonce Walker, another founder of Pedal Craft, says "It's very clear that Phoenix is hungry for events like this, so it's a good community for it."

He says Pedal Craft is an open-minded space where designers can show their work and community members can get to know one another.

"Phoenix is so spread out, and an event like this brings people together," Walker says.

Pedal Craft Volume 3 is takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. at Monorchid Friday, October 25. Complimentary valet bike parking will be provided.
