Hunt (also known as NXOEED) packs up his paintings and heads to an art show in Massachusetts, he’s giving Phoenix fans a chance to check them out during a one-night affair at Grand ArtHaus. “Turbulent Landscape”

Head to the shipping container galleries in Roosevelt Row, and you’ll find the “Sizzle Series” presented by Rhetorical Galleries and [nueBOX], which commissioned four new works by Phoenix-based choreographers. Chances are, your view of stickers will be forever changed after you see works by Malena Barnhart, who uses elements of contemporary culture to critique traditional ideas about female identity. Head to Unexpected Art Gallery to explore the life and times of Roland Hill, a man who served in World War I. We’re told he also dated Kiki de Montparnasse before Man Ray, painted in Paris during the Roaring ‘20s, and hung out with Walt Disney during the design of Disneyland. One Year Party
So, we can’t quite call this one an art show. But it’s a celebration of the one-year anniversary for two local businesses that share the Shortcut Gallery art space that’s shown works by some of the Valley’s most respected artists, such as Matt Magee, Kelsey Dake, Carrie Marill, and Andy Brown. The "Heart of the Dragon" exhibition benefiting Laura Dragon, founder of {9} The Gallery and co-founder of Grand ArtHaus, continues on Third Friday. Proceeds from works in this exhibition sold at {9} The Gallery will benefit Dragon and {9} The Gallery, to help with expenses related to her recent diagnosis of stage-four lung cancer.
