"Phoenix's Finest" at Ruby Room

You'd be one crazy mofo to miss this shindig.

On Thursday, March 27, Djentrification, Johnny Dee, and One Peso share four turntables during this DJ potpourri. One Peso, who plans to leave Phoenix soon, will spin rarely-heard Jamaican music while the legendary Johnny Dee plays super rare songs from local musicians, including a cut called "Ham Hocks and Beans" that was recorded on 7th Street back in the day.

And, of course, Djentrification will represent with sonic oddities and psychedelic beats.

Thu., March 27, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., 2008
