We've been meaning to tell you about PHXated.com -- a smart blog about all things Phoenix written by a smart guy, Bill Wyman. And we were reminded of that when we noticed Wyman wrote about Phoenix New Times today, in honor of the paper's 40th anniversary.
We're biased, but we think it's a pretty smart piece.
Wyman writes a lot about local media, but takes on the pols, too. And lest you think his New Times musings are only positive, one of Wyman's favorite recent topics has been our music editor, Martin Cizmar.
Wyman's our favorite kind of Phoenician -- raised here, he escaped to Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., to work for erudite media outlets like the Chicago Reader, salon.com and National Public Radio. So he knows the town, but he also knows what's up outside of this, um, hot spot.
