Ruiz has worked in the gaming industry for six years and contributed work to 14 games. He also serves as creative director at the Arizona-based development studio Team Colorblind.

His talk, "Anatomy of the Game Industry," will touch on such topics as jobs, software, and how to break into the business.

The event begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, and continues until 5 p.m. Game CoLab is located in suite 102 of the Levine Machine Building, 605 East Grant Street. Admission is $15, and participants can register via
