Punk Project

We’ve had something of a contentious relationship with the tattooed types who run local website AZPunk over the past decade.

They’ve sniped at us for our coverage of the Phoenix music scene on more than a few occasions and we’ve fired right back. But just like on-again, off-again lovers, we’ll eventually kiss and makeup (After all, we’ve all got essentially the same goal: supporting local musicians and bands).

So it’s in this spirit of togetherness that we’re choosing to pimp the release party for Personality Disorder, the site’s latest compilation of rock and punk songs from a variety of Arizona artists.

The 12-inch contains more tracks from more than a dozen acts, including Said Gun, Cagematch, Jason Devore, and The Plainfield Butchers, all of whom will perform at the Rogue Bar on Saturday. Proceed from the party will also go to the funeral costs of Daniel "Dishonour Dan" Howard, an AZPunk regular who passed away last month.
