Living in the same town as Great Arizona Puppet Theater means we get to see acclaimed and unusual visiting puppet shows that the GAPTeers can snag due to their own decades of experience and connections. Coming up: Animalitos from The Magical Moonshine Theatre, a very musical company based in Vallejo, California, that’s been delighting children and grownups worldwide for 35 years.

The show, for audiences 4 and older, is a multilingual mashup of a few of Aesop’s fables. While his tortoise opponent creeps toward the finish, a sprinting rabbit takes time out to help a fox with plans to make a romantic dinner for a crane. See what happens at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at 302 West Latham Street. Performances continue through Sunday, April 6, at $7 for children 2 through 15 and $10 for adults.
