Ren Fair

Never mind He-Man; Phoenicians are the masters of the universe. In addition to ditching daylight saving time, we pull the trigger on the beginning of summer whenever we want. Officially, summer doesn’t start until the latter chunk of June -- whatevs! We're stoked that the swanky folks at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel start up the season with the Ren, Wine & Brew block party Friday, May 17.

The Ren is teaming up with Arizona Stronghold Wine and the Phoenix Ale Brewery to stay true to the shindig’s name while keeping the socialites lubricated. Adult kids will get to play beanbags and Jumbo Jenga and splash it up on a giant, two-lane Slip ‘N Slide. Comestibles will include spiked snow cones and a kalua pig roast. Valley artists will create a mural during the bash, as DJ William Reed keeps the party rocking behind the turntables.
