Theres definitely a double-edged sword component to First Friday. Walk into one gallery and you're struck by work thats more powerful than the Holy Trinity. (Well, only if youre into that Jesus stuff.) Stroll into another space and the art may suck so hard that youll wanna kick it with your boy Lucifer. (Again, only if youre into that Jesus stuff.) Art vets Sherrie Medina and Erin Kane want to make us bow in genuflection with the Ghost Gallery, Phoenixs first migratory art space. The concept works like this: Every few months, the gallery will host progressive, theme-based artwork by established and upcoming artists at different vacant downtown spaces. GG's debut exhibit is titled Here/Now.
