I often capture a manifestation of the Phoenix in the Arizona sky, but this has to be one of the most detailed images that I have caught this year above downtown Phoenix. Then with it ascending made it more magical.

The Phoenix a representation of rebirth, of cycles of life, the highs and lows in life. Being a Phoenician is more than living in an area, it is the representation of a people born into a modern day Tribe.
The countdown to Best of Phoenix continues! Last year, we profiled 100 Creatives who made a mark on the local arts scene. This year, we'll have 100 creative representations of Phoenix.  No scope or requirement on medium or size -- we'll include photography, painting, sculpture, video, installation, literary, and more. What do you see when you Imagine PHX?
