Setting Sun Devils

That didn’t exactly go as predicted.

Yes, the Arizona State Sun Devils Football team was supposed to finish ninth in the Pac-10 (which they may do when all's said and done). And it’s true that a squad comprised of mostly inexperienced underclassmen (like Vontaze Burfict) were going to foul things up at the worst possible times. But ASU fans couldn’t have expected the oh-so-close victories that turned into defeats – four of the team’s six setbacks have come by four or fewer points – or the fact that an exciting offense has, at times, been better than a defense that didn’t exactly live up to its lofty expectations.

Oh, well. Guess they can give it a go next year. But before that, watch the Devils close out their 2010 home regular season against the UCLA Bruins.
