Small, Cool Living in 416 Square Feet

One new idea for every day in 2011. We're talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here's today's -- what's yours?

Aaron Kimberlin's guest house is tiny ... and pretty damn cool. The local photographer's an architectural and urban planning enthusiast, and writes that even though his space is just more than 400 square feet, he separated it into five functional areas that add to the overall design.

His space is up for Apartment Therapy's 7th Annual Smallest Coolest Home contest. You can vote for his design online, and check out/borrow/steal a few of his small-living ideas from the slideshow.
