SMoCA Show

Getting up on stage and reading something you wrote is not an easy thing to do; making it entertaining is even harder. Luckily, there’s Lit Lounge. Hosted monthly at Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, this award-winning story-performing series fuses writers and performers sharing true stories with live music. On Friday, October 24, it’ll return with a dynamic roster of performers including Maggie Rowe, producer of the famed Sit 'N Spin (a show very much like Lit Lounge); authors Kelly Rafterty and Sara Palmer; award-winning playwrights Kim Porter and Michael Grady; and musical guest Kathy Moser. It’s the most fun you’ll have hearing essays all year. (Until the next Lit Lounge, that is.)

The Lit Lounge lights up at 7 p.m. Friday, October 24 at SMoCA Lounge. Tickets are $10. Call 480-874-4666 or visit for more.
