What do Russian astronauts and knock-knock jokes have in common? Not much. But that’s just the sort of slapstick logic you’d expect from Arizona sketch comedy troupe, The Cosmonauts.

This humorous herd comprises local pranksters Jamie Aronson Tyus, Marc Siegel, Rick Beedle, Carey Antoszewski, Jonathan Brown, Andrea Kuretzky, Yuko Maeda, David McGee, Wade Moran, Jennifer Pollack, Michael Potts, Bobby Shook, David Sinuk, Jay Turley, and Gordon Tyus. Describing themselves as the “freshest,” “craziest,” and “most off-beat” troupe around, The Cosmonauts put on a show that is 100 percent scripted and zero percent serious.

The Cosmonauts will present all new material Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 2, at the Brelby Theatre Company, 6835 North 85th Avenue in Glendale.
