Comedian Bill Maher has never held his tongue with regard to his thoughts on the world, politicians, corporations, and American life – and he’s not starting now. After tackling every form of media from radio to cinema, the political comic returns to his original form of broadcasting – stand-up comedy – on Saturday, February 26, at Celebrity Theatre, 440 North 32nd Street.

Maher is best known as the host of HBO’s Real Time. Since 2003, his premium cable show has been an expanded version of his original late-night talker, Politically Incorrect, which brought in a small panel of political figures, pundits, and celebs. Maher’s satirical-film screed against organized religions, 2008’s Religulous, is the 7th highest grossing documentary film in history, but his biggest takedown may have been last fall when he aired a 1999 clip of Delaware’s Republican Senatorial candidate Christine O’Donnell copping to dabbling in witchcraft.
