Taller de Ciudadania (a Citizen Workshop)

One new idea for every day in 2011. We're talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here's today's -- what's yours?

Tomorrow morning, Fundacion Mano a Mano Unidos will be giving a quiz.

The will host its free monthly citizen workshop, where they also help those looking for citizenship status fill out paperwork, practice citizenship terminology and interview skills, and prepare for the real naturalization exam.

The group has been teaching citizenship for four years, and is a non-profit, operated with volunteers only, including Gwynne Heiser, Roberto Reveles of the Arizona ACLU, and Mercedes Mercado, a former professor at NAU.

This Saturday's taller, or workshop, is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 7252 S. Central Avenue in Phoenix. A full version of the flier above is after the jump ...
