Since there's really no better accessory than a cocktail in your hand, each week Jackalope Ranch brings you a tasty adult beverage from one of our favorite drinking establishments, complete with recipe. This week: The Bramble at Cafe Zuzu.

The Bramble is a refreshing gin-based cocktail that will transport you from the swank, retro-styling of Cafe Zuzu's lounge to a sun-kissed blackberry briar with each sip. A fresh lemon twist and blackberry gems on the side are the perfect accompaniment.

(recipe after the jump)

2 oz. Bombay Sapphire gin
1 oz. lemon juice
3/4 oz. simple syrup
1/2 oz. Creme de Mure liqueur

Place gin, lemon juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until combined and strain into a short glass filled with crushed ice. Drizzle the Creme de Mure liqueur over the top and let it settle at the bottom of the glass. Accent the cocktail with a fresh blackberry and lemon twist on a toothpick. Admire the pretty cocktail you just created and savor it poolside, or sitting directly beneath your air conditioning vent.
