The Gift of Fab

Nothing beats a holiday gift of local art. For one, since it's locally made you probably won't have to punch someone at Wal-Mart to get the last one. Second, it's a hell of a lot more creative than that gift card you snapped up on that last beer run.

Now through the end of the year, Shemer Art Center will sell unique holiday decorations from its Home for the Holidays Show and Sale. Also up for grabs will be metals, ceramics, beadwork, wood, glass, and paper-based work by more than 35 Arizona artists including Cyndi Coon, Lynne Yamaguchi, Gary Scarpulla, and Sandra Luehrsen (to name a few).

Tuesdays-Sundays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Starts: Dec. 20. Continues through Dec. 31, 2011
