The Hidden House's The Shop is the spot to go for underground hip hop in Phoenix. DJ Al Page's The Shop is one of the Valley's more established hip hop nights (it recently threw a sixth anniversary bash). The most recent edition featured the musical stylings of DJ Radar and DJ Tricky T.

The Time:
What we loved: The cool atmosphere. Even though the DJs keep the place moving, the vibe is decidedly more parts relaxed lounge than bouncing club.
What we didn't love: If you haven't been to the bar before then you are liable to miss this hip hop heyday. There are two sides to The Hidden House and The Shop goes down in the smaller, more hidden, room.
Would we go back: Quite likely.
